New formulation check procedure

Go to: Main menu > Maintenance module > Database Maintenance > Stock Maintenance > Formulation Options > Check Formulation Items.

To assist you with the maintenance of your stock formulations a new routine to check formulation items has been added to VisionVPM.

This routine will check the internal links and update them automatically if they are incorrect and produce a report of the individual codes within a formulation that are incorrect.

Click Yes to the following prompt:

VisionVPM will then display the following prompt:

Click Yes to sort the report by the formulation header.

VisionVPM will print a report similar to the one below, displaying:

• stock items that are components of a formulation but do not exist in your database, and
• stock items which have an incorrect internal link.

When you close the report, if, as in the example above, the internal links point to an existing stock item but the formulation stock code does not exist, VisionVPM will display a prompt similar to the one below:

Click Yes to allow VisionVPM to replace the formulation stock item with the stock item listed in the Internal Link Points To Code column.

New Inactive message on Formulation report

Go to: Main menu > Stock module > Reports menu > Stock List > Formulations > Report > Formulated Stock Report > Show Components.

The formulation report will now display the word INACTIVE if a formulation stock item is inactive.

New message on formulation window

Go to: Main menu > Stock module > Stock menu > Stock Details > select formulation stock item > Formula.

VisionVPM will display the following message prompt if it detects any issues in the formulation items, that is, inactive or incorrect stock code, when the window is opened.

Click OK and VisionVPM will print a report similar to the one below:

You should then fix the incorrect stock items.

Inability to save formulations with missing stock items

Go to: Main menu > Stock module > Stock menu > Stock Details > select formulation stock item > Formula.

In this version, VisionVPM no longer allows you to save formulations with missing stock items.

When you click Save on the formulation window, that includes missing stock items, VisionVPM will display a message similar to the one below:

You should click OK and correct the offending stock item.

Inability to save formulations with inactive stock items

Go to: Main menu > Stock module > Stock menu > Stock Details > select formulation stock item > Formula.

In this version, VisionVPM no longer allows you to save formulations with inactive stock items.

When you click Save on the formulation window, that includes inactive stock items, VisionVPM will display a message similar to the one below:

You should click OK and correct the offending stock item.

Inability to inactivate stock items when included in formulations

Go to: Main menu > Stock module > Stock menu > Stock Details > Inactive.

A stock item cannot be made inactive if it is within other formulations.

When you click the Inactive check box on the Stock Details window, VisionVPM will display a message similar to the one below:

VisionVPM will then display the formulation list.

You should correct the offending stock item.

The only exception to this is when you have:

• clicked the Adjust button on the Stock Details window,
• selected to Inactivate the stock item
• and clicked YES to creating a new stock item.
